Quicktime Pro and Podcast Producer

Podcast Capture is the primary way to record and post audio and/or video to Podcast Producer.  If you were wanting to use Windows to create the podcast you could use Quicktime Pro 7.3 or later.  Make a recording in Quicktime then "share" the file.  In the menu bar select Podcast Producer, enter the producer's URL, username and password. Upload the file.

Using Windows version of Quicktime Pro to capture for Podcast Producer is not possible, sorry for any confusion.

Hi Robert

Mn.. Not seeing Podcast Producer link in Quicktime Pro 7.4 (Does one have to set this up beforehand).

Perhaps you can provide a few screencaps on how this process works....

Thanx

I was at an Apple seminar today and the guy leading it said you can use Podcast producer to do screen captures without a server. He said Google it and you'll find out how. Anyone here know how to do it?

I gave wrong info on the Window's version of Quicktime and Podcast Producer. You are only able to do this on the Mac version. After capturing your video go to Share and submit to a podcast producer server.

A video capture with Quicktime Pro is possible. Using a capture device like an Epiphan VGA2USB LR ,Quicktime will record the screen capture. The only way to use Podcast Capture is to login to a podcast producer server. Using Podcast Capture it is possible to do a screen capture. The video file is saved at ~/Library/Application Support/Podcast Capture. Until the file is sent to a server, the capture video is saved in that location. Once it is sent to the server it is deleted.
